 Trailer #1: The Revenant

Trailer #1: The Revenant

Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy

Intern Review: One of the most beautiful films to be captured on camera. All the CG matches up with the majestic backdrop of the wild Canadian mountains. Leo does a lot of great face acting and drooling in this epic film. If you like face and body acting this one is a gem.

Rotten Tomatoes 81% IMDb 8.0 Intern +2

Trailer #2: Concussion

Directed by Peter Landesman starring Will Smith, Alec Baldwin and Albert Brooks

Intern Review: It's not as bad as it may seem. It's not as good as Will Smith wants you to believe as well. It may hit you over the head with a couple of impactful scenes but turned out to be an average film.

Trailer #1: Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens

Intern Review: The remake of A New Hope happens here. We can all have a New Hope that the next one will not be a remake of any other Star Wars. Abrams made Star Trek great and didn't do to much with this one. On the other hand the chemistry is cosmic between the characters in this movie and it was a lot of fun to watch.

This movie will knock your socks off if that story sounds like a gripping one to you. But the only thing worth gripping onto is the mop in the movie as the movie is a far cry from David O. This was passable as a film, however the original Spanish version has a real believable feel to it that just isn't captured in this one. We also predicted an Oscar nomination for Depp which was the beginning of our failures to predict with Black Mass. Hearing that there is three different versions of this I would have preferred the Horror or Comedy version instead of this middle ground option they went with. Intern Review: The slow zoom master takes us on a draction to display the disruption of a drug cartel.  We get to go on a journey of a hitman seen through the eyes of a rule abiding FBI agent. The cinematography is engaging and sucks you in. The score pulses and gets the blood flowing. The Sicario is passionless and effective in delivery. Villeneuve proves that he is Canada's greatest director. Sicario is Intern Approved and wins the episode. Go watch it now really stop reading this and watch some Villeneuve magic.

Trailer #1: We Are Your Friends

Directed by Max Joseph starring Zac Efron, Wes Bentley and Emily Ratajkowski

Intern Review: Its a movie about a middle class kid who makes it big with EDM through authentic sounds and the death of a friend. Spoiler Alert a friend dies and you know what, there is no connection to anyone so who cares. There is a nice music build up for the last concert of the film but Zac seems to take it down a notch with his can it get any better than this comments randomly thrown into his music.

There was no tension and a longing for the movie to be over almost as soon as it begins. Will the regression bring out the answers to satanic cult and family who has raped a young woman.

 Trailer #4: Drunk Wedding

Trailer #4: Drunk Wedding

Directed by Nick Weiss starring Bethany Dwyer, Dan Gill, Victoria Gold, Nate Lang and  Anne Gregory

Intern Review: Gopro's film a wedding party. Maybe the only reason to use a Gopro for film. It had a few fairly funny moments but shaky cam Gopro's just don't make the cut for any pretentious film watcher like myself.

 Trailer #5: The Gift

Trailer #5: The Gift

Directed by Joel Edgerton starring Jason Bateman, Rebecca Hall and Joel Edgerton

Intern Review: Edgerton is pretty good at making you feel uncomfortable but not really in the way you want to. The Gift is a perfectly forgettable movie. Filmed and acted well but just not memorable in anyway.
